Groovy Girls® Make a Splash in 2005

Groovy Collectors Welcome New Summertime Theme

January 10, 2005 (Minneapolis, Minnesota)—Groovy Girls know how to nurture their friendships and hip personal style. Now this groovin' gang has new ways to show their individuality while hosting the ultimate splash bash together. Our latest introduction allows girls to collect theme-related product groupings of this popular toy line celebrated for its fashionable style, uniqueness and quality craftsmanship. Cool outfits and accessories bring lots of variety to girls' creative play.

Pool-Party Creative Play

Stepping out in pool-party style, a new crew of Groovy Girls is baring their legs and feet for the first time ever. Toe rings, ankle bracelets, and snazzy swimwear make sure these girls — and boy — shine at every summer shindig. From our K series, each new friend — Kylee, Kenna, Kassi and their guy pal, Groovy Boys® Kieran — comes decked out in pool attire. Below their happy smiles, they're sporting summery dresses, sarongs and halter-tops, with Kieran looking cool and relaxed in board shorts, shirt and metallic vinyl shades.

Pool-Party Accessories

No summertime party is complete without a pool. This season, there's Splash Bash, a two-tiered tropical resort, complete with palm tree, volleyball net and ball, removable slide and retractable diving board, for Groovy Girls to lounge around, plus pool party pets to join in the fun: Kip, a surfboarding mutt that loves to chase waves, and Miss Pinky Paws, stretched out on her glamorous "inflatable" raft. Easy to assemble, the beautifully detailed swimming pool pivots on a palm tree that shades the imaginative action below. Colorful Shady Seats, a pair of patio chairs with a table and removable umbrella, and a Cheeky Chaise lounge complete the party picture.

Duchess, our lovely soft horse and one of the brand's top seller, is every Groovy Girl's best friend. Designed to look like her equine kind, she whinnies her greetings when activated by a gentle squeeze of her belly — such sounds are a Groovy Girls first! — and poses beautifully on sparkly flat-bottomed hooves and legs that bend.
